Ingredients
4 cups large flake oats
1/2 cup spent grain, from beer making (optional)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped almonds
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup desiccated coconut
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup cocoa nibs
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl except for the cranberries and cacao nibs. Mix well.
- Place the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes. Give the granola a mix halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. If you like your granola to have larger clumps, give your mixture a press down at this time.
- Remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle with cranberries and cacao nibs and press into the granola.
- Let the batch cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring it into a jar.
Notes
- Feel free to switch up some of the ingredients, add, or remove.
