
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper (optional)
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
2 tsp herb (thyme, rosemary, sage etc.)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter, softened
1/2 cup cold water
Procedure
- Heat the oven to 400°F.
- Mix all ingredients together until it forms a uniform ball.
- Divide the dough in half and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until very thin.
- Slice into shapes or bake whole on parchment paper for about 10 – 12 minutes.
- Midway through the baking time reverse the pans, top to bottom, front to back to even out the baking.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the pan.
- Break into pieces if baked whole and serve.
Notes
- You can add just about anything you want to these crackers such as parmesan, paprika, flax seeds, etc. Have fun and go crazy!
