
Ingredients
2/3 cup hot water
1/3 cup yellow sugar
2 cups glutinous rice flour (Mochiko)
frying oil
1/2 cup of anko
1/2 cup sesame seeds
Procedure
- Mix together the sugar and water and stir until the sugar has melted.
- Place the glutinous rice flour into a bowl.
- Add the sugar water into the flour and mix until combined.
- Bring the dough together
- Cut the dough into about 12 pieces.
- Roll out 12 balls of anko, 1 tablespoon at a time, and set aside.
- Flatten each ball of rice flour dough and wrap a ball of anko with the dough.
- Roll into a ball to seal the seams.
- Roll it into a bowl of sesame seeds. If the dough has dried out moisten the ball with a little water and press the seeds into the dough.
- Heat your frying oil to 350°F.
- Fry for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
- Remember to check the temperature of the frying oil frequently and turn the balls over in the oil to achieve even frying.
